The original 1300 sq. ft. home had 4 bedroom and two baths. The galley kitchen had only 14 square feet of counter space and was hidden away from the rest of the house by walls. The reorganized home has a great room and kitchen with 78sq. ft. of counter space, an open floorplan, where the cook could interact with guests in the family room and where spaces were defined by cabinets, flooring and windows, not with walls. The 1000 sq. ft. addition gave the homeowners a 600 sq. ft. master bedroom suite with a 12 x 12 walk in closet and a large master bath and another bedroom.
